Elon Musk and Grimes only just announced the birth of their second child and now, the Tesla CEO appears to have been left in the dust.
According to Page Six, Grimes has moved on from her baby daddy with American activist and whistle-blower, Chelsea Manning. A source close to the pair reported they were ‘getting serious’, apparently having moved in together in Austin, Texas.
Grimes previously took to Twitter to confirm her split from Musk after her Vanity Fair cover story suggested the A-list pair had rekindled their romance.

The singer cleared up the confusion in a Twitter thread, explaining: “Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now, I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out.”
After Grimes broke the news, Musk posted a string of memes on Twitter, fuelling speculation that he’s commenting on her newest link. The memes appear to reference the fact Manning is transgender, as she began her transition back in 2013.
Musk’s Twitter followers shared their thoughts, as one wrote: “This is the funniest way to find out that Grimes dumped him for Chelsea Manning.” Another said: “Elon Musk being so transparent about feeling completely emasculated by Chelsea Manning is so f***ing funny.”
"I see Musk is taking the rumor of Grimes dating Chelsea Manning well," tweeted a third person.
One user slammed Musk even further, stating: “Elon Musk is not taking Grimes leaving him for Chelsea Manning very well. Maybe he should get with JK Rowling since they have so much transphobia in common.”
Just last week, Grimes and Musk announced the birth of their second child who sports a characteristically unusual name... which has come as absolutely no surprise following the fiasco of naming their first-born X Æ A-Xii.
The reveal came accidentally, after an interviewer for Vanity Fair heard the unmistakable cry of a baby while interviewing Grimes.
The singer initially tried to shrug off any probing questions however, after the crying persisted, she admitted to having another child with Musk via a surrogate.
She described her new daughter as ‘a little colicky’, explaining that the pandemic had allowed the parents to keep the news under wraps for the time being.
Revealing another unusual name choice for their baby, Grimes said her full name is 'Exa Dark Sideræl Musk', but they’ve simply nicknamed her 'Y'.
