People Can't Believe Sofia Vergara Is 50 As She Celebrates Birthday

People can't believe that Sofia Vergara is 50 years old.

Yep, 50. Meanwhile, we're rocking high ponytails hoping it hides a couple of lines we've suddenly got around our eyes in our early 20s.

Still, the incredible actor celebrated her milestone birthday yesterday, 10 July, and fans are losing it.

And, honestly, they're not wrong - Sofia might've actually found the fountain of youth because she's not aged in years.

Sofia is a Colombian-American actor who got her start as a model and TV presenter. From there, she went on to act in a series of successful shows, most notably Modern Family.

She married fellow actor Joe Manganiello in November 2015 and quickly became our favourite celeb couple.

The pair often share snaps of married life and family celebrations on social media and Sofia's birthday was no exception.

Still, fans were shocked to learn that Sofia was turning 50, and took to Twitter to comment.

One user couldn't believe their eyes: "Sofia Vergara turned 50 WHAT!"

While another questioned if Sofia had found some kind of super-human way of maintaining her youth: "I just saw that Sofia Vergara turns 50 today and that’s not really fair to anyone… Vampirism must really, right?"

Others simply wished the star well: "happy birthday to my role model!! I hope you have an amazing special day cause u deserve it more than anyone. thank u for being you!! I love you so so much, queen. 50 never looked so good."

Even Joe weighed in on the birthday messages, saying: "¡Feliz Cumpleaños mi amor! I love you so much."

And the celebrations were well earned because it's been a pretty big year for Sofia.

The star transformed into drug cartel boss Griselda Blanco in a new Netflix limited series titled Griselda.

The series is yet to be released but it tells the story of 49-year-old Griselda who was once considered one of the richest and most dangerous women in the world.

Sofia is also serving as executive producer for the miniseries and has been working on the project for eight years.

Speaking of the series to Entertainment Weekly, Sofia said: "Griselda Blanco was a larger-than-life character whose ruthless but ingenious tactics allowed her to rule a billion-dollar empire years before many of the most notorious male kingpins we know so much about.

"We are thrilled to have found the perfect partners in Eric [Newman, writer, and executive producer], Andrés [Baiz, executive producer], and Netflix to help us bring this story of her life to the screen."

And, we can't wait to watch - looks like 50 is shaping up to be a great year for Sofia already.
