A Toronto restaurant has asked Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto to eat elsewhere after he allegedly made a staff member 'cry' during his visit.

Quinto's behavior was called out in an Instagram Story shared yesterday (2 June) by the 'mediterranean-ish bistro' Manita, which is located in Toronto, Canada.

The restaurant describes itself as both a cafe and bar which is open 'all day' and 'all night' seven days a week, and claims to have welcomed a few famous faces through its doors in the past.

After Quinto's visit to the restaurant, he was described on the Instagram story as being 'an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer'.

The 47-year-old actor is known for playing Spock in Star Trek, Star Trek Beyond and Star Trek Into Darkness, as well as the antagonist Sylar in the series Heroes.

Quinto's visit to the restaurant took place as he celebrated his birthday on 2 June, but Manita has claimed he wasn't in a very celebratory mood.

The restaurant wrote: "[He] yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn't reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren't available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for."

Quinto also allegedly made the host at the restaurant 'cry', as well as making 'the rest of [the] brunch diners uncomfortable'.

Manita indicated Quinto was no longer welcome to dine in the restaurant as it continued: "Mr Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovelycelebrities join us at Manita but your are NOT one of them."

Quinto has not commented on Manita's allegations at the time of writing (2 June), but he did share a series of posts to his own Instagram Story after being tagged in Manita's comment.

Quinto's posts showed him celebrating his birthday at Ontario amusement park Canada's Wonderland, as well as enjoying a birthday dessert with a candle in it.

On one of the posts, Quinto tagged Canada's Wonderland and wrote: "Thank you for such an incredible birthday adventure."

Quinto's visit to Manita took place as he prepares to star in the NBC medical drama Brilliant Minds, which is set to be released later this year.

Quinto will portray neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf in the series; a character based on the real-life brain surgeon Oliver Wolf Sacks.

UNILAD has reached out to representatives for Quinto for comment.
