Actor Debra Messing has returned to slamming Zohran Mamdani just a month into his term as New York City Mayor, this time blaming him for her missing an appointment due to the snow.
After taking a break from posting about New York's new socialist mayor following his resounding win, the Will & Grace star shared with her social media followers that she had been stuck in a taxi for 70 minutes, for a journey through the city that she claimed should have taken 20.
The 57-year-old, who previously shared Islamophobic memes calling the mayor 'Osama bin Mamdani', declared the city's roads a 'disaster' despite it being 'five days' since the vast Winter Storm Fern - which was described as 'historic' after reaching over 2000 miles in length.
Over just a matter of days, starting on Sunday January 24, the entire city was blanketed in more snow than it has seen in many years, with Washington Heights recording 14.9 inches. This made Fern one of the worst snowstorms in a decade.

Messing observed that the effects of this massive storm, which affected close to 200 million Americans and saw dozens die in just a few days, were still being felt as she tried to get a taxi to her appointment on Friday (January 30). 14 died in New York alone.
"I’ve lived here for 15 years (this go around) and this has never happened," she shared on social media. "The plows have always worked around the clock to get the city back to working."
Then, the Alto Knights star appears to imply that Mayor Mamdani was behind the more than a foot of snow that blanketed the US' most densely populated city, adding: "I wonder what happened? [smirking emoji].
"Hang in there New Yorkers."
But many of her followers on social media thought this argument was ridiculous and blasted the actor for her 'sad' decline into becoming a 'Karen'.

A user attempted to explain to Messing why there was still snow in New York in January, saying: "A blizzard. That's what happened. A blizzard. Oh, and unrelenting dangerously cold temperatures that have not allowed the snow piles that have been plowed to melt."
Another follower commented: "Never thought we’d live to see Grace become a Karen (and not the fun one)."
In a sign that it will be a long four years for political satire in the Big Apple, some who also dislike the new mayor agreed with Messing that the snow was because 'Mamdani happened'.
While others made reference to the mayor's inaugural address, where Mamdani said he would pivot politics to the 'warmth of collectivism' from the 'frigidity' of individualism.
One individual remarked: "I think Mamdani is waiting for “the warmth of collectivism” to clear the streets."
But for most people, especially New Yorkers, it wasn't her politics that perplexed them, but her choice of transport for getting around the snow covered city. One put it simply: "Girl, take the subway lmao."
