Five celebrity Scientologists give near identical response when asked about religion in interviews

Scientology is a notoriously private religion, with those who are part of the Church usually giving little away about it.

From Tom Cruise and John Travolta, to the late Kirstie Alley and The Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss, there are a host of famous faces that practice the religion.

Another star who used to be a Scientologist is actor Leah Remini, but she left the Church in 2013 after 30 years.

Remini is now a very vocal critic of Scientology, and recently took to TikTok to point out an eerie likeness between a lot of celebrity Scientologist's interviews.

In one clip Tom Cruise chatting to Oprah. He says: "I think the best thing is for people to read about [Scientology]."

"That's the best way to do it," the actor adds.

Following the Cruise clip is a snippet of one of John Travolta's interviews with ABC News.

"People really need to take time and read a book," the Grease star is heard saying.

"If you really read it, you'll understand it."

It then shows Friends star Giovanni Ribisi who coincidentally says the same thing.

The actor explains: "People ask me about Scientology and the first thing I'll say is that you should read a book and understand it for yourself."

A fourth clip shows Kirstie Alley chatting to then-fellow Big Brother housemate Rodrigo Alves who tries to get the lowdown on the mysterious religion.

Alley says: "The best way to find out what it is is to read a book on it."

As Alves goes on to say that she's sat face-to-face with a Scientologist and asks if she can just tell her about it instead, Alley says no.

Lastly were two separate chats with Jenna Elfman who is caught saying the same thing on two separate occasions and echoes the same sentiments to her fellow celeb Scientologists.

But rather than to 'read a book', Elfman tells inquisitive folks to 'go to scientology.org and find out for themselves'.

In light of Remini now being a critic of Scientology and having three decades in the religion under her belt, she shared the clip on TikTok and explained that people allegedly have to follow a 'script'.

L. Ron Hubbard founded Scientology and apparently he 'didn’t want people explaining Scientology because that gets in the way of Scientology’s revenue stream and also means that people don’t go through the steps in Scientology that get them hooked in', alleged Remini on the video sharing platform.

"Scientologists also know that they can never reveal any information about the confidential levels of Scientology or they face being declared a suppressive person and losing everything," the actor went on.

"So, they stick to the script: 'find out for yourself.'"
