Miley Cyrus' brother shares scathing post about dad Billy Ray explaining why he is 'fame hungry' and 'pathetic'

Miley Cyrus' brother Trace has taken to Instagram to reveal what he really thinks about his day Billy Ray, dubbing him 'fame hungry' and 'pathetic'.

Billy Ray is the father to Grammy Award-winning artist Miley, Noah, Braison and Christopher, as well as adopting the two other children of his ex-wife Tish, Brandi and Metro Station star Trace.

The 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer has been in the news a lot recently, ever since his chaotic performance at Donald Trump's inauguration back in January, and it seems there have been cracks between him and his children.

In a lengthy message posted on Instagram back then, Trace wrote: "Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you.

"The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now."

He went on: "It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you. You may be upset with me for posting this but I really couldn't care less at this point.

"Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away."

And in a series of Instagram Stories posted on Tuesday (June 10), Trace dubbed his father 'so hungry for fame', while describing him as 'pathetic'.

"He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my mom," he penned. "Even after his daughter got him a $60k private jet like he demanded.

"You’re the lamest man ever to walk planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to have ever considered you my idol.

"The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you. Get right with God. You need it."

Trace's Instagram post back in January seemingly didn't go down well with Billy Ray, as Trace claimed his dad threatened legal action against him.

"Dad my message was beyond loving," Trace said in response. "I could have been extremely honest about a lot more but I don’t want to put your business out there like that. But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace."

The post went on: "Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you. You should be ashamed of yourself.

"I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help."
