Actress Sydney Sweeney had a few things to say about those who are constantly speculating about whether she has been altering her appearance.
For celebrities, there is constant conversation about the appearance, and entire video breakdowns for the most minor changes.
With that said, it is certainly very prevalent when it comes to women in the entertainment industry.
And this very fact is why every other female actress or singer is hit with rumors of going under the knife or using injections to keep themselves looking young or change apparent ‘flaws’.

This is no different for the 28-year-old Sydney Sweeney, with rumors currently circulating that she has had Botox or even plastic surgery.
In a new interview with Variety, Sweeney addressed the rumors head on.

She explained that she has never done anything of the sort and even revealed a concerning piece of ‘advice’ she was given while auditioning at just 16 years old.

On the rumors, Sweeney said: “I’ve never gotten anything done. I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing.
“I’m going to age gracefully. It’s really funny. I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures.’ I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo.' Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.”
Despite insisting she hasn’t had anything done, a casting director didn’t think this was exactly a good idea when she was starting out.
Speaking about one time she went for an audition, she said: “I have very strong eyebrow muscles.

“And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16! Or I’m in a casting and I’m reading my scene and the casting director is eating a bag of chips, and I’m like, ‘You’re not paying attention at all.'”

Thankfully, Sweeney has remained a mainstay in Hollywood without feeling the pressures to change what she is comfortable with.
Her comments come at a time while another celeb, Selena Gomez, fought back a whole lot of critical comments about her appearance, with some insisting she has had some plastic surgery.

After releasing a new music video, a freeze frame of Gomez from the clip began circulating, with many spreading rumors and adding speculation.
Gomez hasn’t come out and addressed the comments, but she has been defended by fellow singer, Grimes, who argued it was bad for Gomez’s mental health as well as other women who look up to her.
