Scottish singer Susan Boyle has spoken out after Timothée Chalamet mentioned her unexpectedly in a recent interview.
The 64-year-old ballad singer shot to international fame pretty much overnight when she appeared on the UK competition show, Britain's Got Talent, back in 2009.
Boyle delivered a show-stopping performance of 'I Dreamed a Dream' from the musical Les Misérables, completely baffling the audience, who initially appeared cynical when she stated her dream was to be 'as successful as Elaine Paige'.
Now, it appears the British celeb has a fan from across the pond as 29-year-old actor Chalamet piled on the praise for the singer in a recent interview with BBC News.

The Golden Globe winner listed Boyle on his list of favorite Britons, alongside Formula 1 champ Lewis Hamilton, former England footballer David Beckham and his Spice Girls wife, Victoria Beckham, as well as rapper Fakemink.

As for the Scot, he said: "She dreamt bigger than all of us," in reference to her BGT performance.
"Who wasn't moved by that? I remember that like it was yesterday, that was like the advent of YouTube, you know?"
Boyle has since responded to his comment, writing on Instagram: "This has been so incredibly touching to read.
"I’m very flattered, @tchalamet. Those early days were quite something, and to know that moment meant something to you all these years on truly humbles me."
She continued: "We all start somewhere, with a dream and a bit of hope, don’t we? We should all dream big! I wish you every success as you continue to dream your own dream.
"Thank you for your kindness and for remembering that moment so fondly," Boyle concluded before signing off her Instagram message: 'with love, Susan.'
The Oscar nominee, who was asked the question while on a press tour for his new movie Marty Supreme, was just 13-years-old when Boyle shot to stardom with her jaw-dropping audition.

Her rendition sparked a renewed interest in stage performances of the musical, and although she came in second place in the contest, she dropped her first album later that year, which became the UK's fastest-selling debut of all time.
I Dreamed a Dream was almost dubbed the best-selling album of 2009 in the US, but narrowly lost the title following Taylor Swift's Fearless by a mere 113,000.
To date, Boyle has dropped eight studio albums and is the proud owner of three Guinness World Records and two Grammy nominations, as well as an estimated fortune of $29.5 million.
As for Chalamet, his latest movie, loosely inspired by the tennis pro Marty Reisman, is set to land in theatres on Christmas Day this year.
It has already been heralded as one of the top 10 films of the year by the American Film Institute.
