The heartbreaking letter Priscilla Presley's granddaughter sent has been revealed in the wake of Lisa Marie Presley's death.
On January 12, 2023, the only child of rock and roll icon Elvis Presley died at the age of 54, following a cardiac arrest.
However, since the tragedy, her mom Priscilla has become embroiled in a legal battle with her former business partners, who allege that the 80-year-old prematurely 'pulled the plug' on Lisa Marie's life support for financial gain.
Priscilla Presley Partners heads, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, have accused Elvis' ex-wife of wanting to 'control' the trust and Graceland estate that was bestowed to her daughter after the legend's death in 1977, allegations which Priscilla's attorneys have slammed as 'shameful, ridiculous, salacious and meritless'.

Lisa Marie's daughter, Riley Keough, has reportedly weighed in on the matter with a letter to her grandma being made public as per the amended Los Angeles lawsuit this week.
The document contains dozens of exhibits, including two pages from Priscilla's yet-to-be-released memoir which allegedly details the 'unbearable' death of her daughter.
However, the 36-year-old's heartbreaking letter appears to suggest the family has long shared a rocky relationship.

Keough reportedly penned in the document seen by People: "Unfortunately Nona as you are taking me to court I am being forced to defend my mother’s wishes legally and publicly which would not have been my choice."
"It is really hurtful that after years of me trying to resolve your and my mother’s broken relationship and restore our family, you are taking me, of all people, to court," she added, according to the filing.
The note also appears to hint at Lisa Marie's intent to seek legal action against her mom before her untimely death.

"I have protected you from lawsuits from my mother, often advocating for you and always tried to keep everyone operating out of love," the letter reportedly reads. "Even a few weeks before my mother passed she wanted to sue you again and you called me for help. I advised her so strongly against it, which resulted in a fight between me and her.
"But as you know she chose to listen to me and not sue you."
The lawsuit filed against the grandmother also alleges she 'ignored' Keough's pleas and 'manipulat[ed] her with claims that she 'loved' her and they 'needed to be a family'.
The actress goes on to accuse Priscilla of moving quickly in the battle of Lisa Marie's estate, stating she was called about her mom's will 'less than 24 hours' after her passing.

She adds that she was flooded with emails from lawyers 'before my mother was even buried' in a move she slammed as 'incredibly heartbreaking.'

The insight comes as Kruse and Fialko accuse Priscilla of fraud in the inducement, breach of contract, conversion, misappropriation of name and likeness and intentional interference with contract and prospective economic advantage.
In the lawsuit, they also claim Priscilla declared herself the 'Queen' of Graceland a week after Lisa's death, further dubbing her a 'calculated sociopath and master of deception, who has lived off of and exploited the 'Presley' name for her own personal gain'.

Meanwhile, her attorney Marty Singer has stated the lawsuit is 'nothing more than a sad and vicious attempt to falsely tarnish the reputation of an eighty-year-old woman in blatant retaliation'.

"Accusing a grieving mother of contributing to her daughter’s death is not savvy advocacy; it is malicious character assassination, and should be broadly condemned. These fabricated claims have absolutely no validity and we are confident this case will be dismissed," he added.
In response to the lawsuit being updated, Singer reasserted: "Priscilla did not have anything to do with the assassination of JFK, she did not cover up Area 51, she did not fake the moon landing, and she is not secretly keeping Bigfoot locked in a cabin in Canada.
