A rapper has welcomed his 13th child at the age of just 26 years old, and the internet has reacted to the news.

NBA YoungBoy, also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again, built up a big following between 2015 and 2017 when he released eight mixtapes.

The rapper, who was born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, has also frequently opened up about his own life in his music.

He took to social media to reveal that he and this wife were expecting their third child together.

Three kids is already a handful, but it turns out that in total the musician has some 13 children, making a baker's dozen.

Now, he and his wife have welcomed the new arrival, and the internet is reacting.

Taking to Instagram for the announcement, he wrote: "You literally my everything without you ain’t none of this."

He added: "I get real dirty, you clean me. I love you."

Taking to the comments underneath the social media post, people shared some of their reactions to the news.

One made a joking reference to the rapper's name with the NBA, or National Basketball Association, writing: "Bros just making his own basketball team."

Given that basketball teams usually five players on the court, this is a slight understatement as YoungBoy actually has enough children to stage a whole game, with substitutions.

Another person remarked how costly it must be to raise that many children, writing: "Expensive lifestyle."

But others took a more serious approach.

One fan shared their admiration of the musician, writing: "I love you so much you inspire me to be better everyday…. You make me believe in my self…. Your family is just as beautiful as your music you made it in life your winning…. You’re rich physically spiritually and mentally."

Meanwhile, someone else took a more traditional approach, and just offered a simple congratulations.

"Congratulations to them on their new baby," they wrote.

It's not the first time that his large family has caught the internet's attention.

One person previously wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Did he start having kids at 12? How tf do you have 13 kids when you gotta wait at least 9 months in between.”

People quickly pointed out the obvious, that men don't need to wait nine months between pregnancies to start the next one.

The musician has previously alluded to what age he first became a dad, saying in one of his songs: “Had my first baby at 16, no Plan B, I had one dream.”
