Ozzy Osbourne's cause of death has been confirmed as a heart attack, as per the musician's death certificate.
Heavy metal legend and 'Prince of Darkness' Osbourne passed away on July 22 at his home in Buckinghamshire, England, where he was 'surrounded by love'.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance responded to the scene after getting a report of an incident and sought to deliver 'advanced critical care', but unfortunately, Osbourne, who was 76 years old, could not be revived.
The news of his death was announced in a statement from his family.

It read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

In a death certificate submitted by Osbourne’s daughter, Aimée Rose Osbourne, a cardiac arrest was listed as the Black Sabbath frontman's cause of death. It also listed coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction as 'joint causes'.
The document, as per the New York Times, said Osbourne suffered the cardiac arrest 'out of hospital'.

Six years before his passing, Osbourne was diagnosed with the neurological condition Parkinson’s disease, which can affect movement, thinking, and behavior.
However, in spite of his health issues the singer was still able to reunite with his former Black Sabbath bandmates for a farewell gig just weeks ago.
The concert, which is said to have raised £140 million for charity, took place at Villa Park in Osbourne's hometown of Aston and featured performances from other huge acts, including Metallica and Guns N' Roses.

As he performed in front of the crowd of 42,000 fans, Osbourne said: "You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Black Sabbath have since been among those paying tribute to Osbourne, with the band's co-founder, Tony Iommi, saying they had 'lost [their] brother'.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today the day after Osbourne's death, Iommi continued: "He loved what he did, he loved music, he loved playing together, and I'm so glad we had the opportunity of getting together again to do the [farewell] show.
"It was brilliant being with all the guys again, and the atmosphere, and it was brilliant for Ozzy because he really wanted to do that, he felt at home there and it was good for all of us."
