**Warning: Contains descriptions of psychological and physical abuse some may find upsetting.**

Megan Fox has spoken out about some of her past relationships in her debut book.

The Transformers star released Pretty Boys Are Poisonous - a collection of 70 poems, some of which detail experiences of past emotional and physical abuse.

And Fox has since revealed some of the abuse happened when she was in relationships with some 'very famous people'.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Fox explained why she chose to include her experiences in her debut book of poetry.

She said: "I just think it was something inside of me that had to come out because it was going to make me sick."

As well as some of the book being 'a metaphor' for how Fox was treated in Hollywood, she adds: "None of it is what I'd call fictional. Those are all real life experiences I had."

But has Fox named those who've allegedly abused her in the book?

Well, the actor explains it's not a 'memoir or expose' but notes 'throughout [her] life' she has 'been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships'.

"I've only publicly been connected to a few people," she continues. "That I shared energy with, I guess we could say, who were horrific people and also very famous, very famous, people, but no one knows I was involved with those people."

One of the poems details a previous partner's 'villain origin story,' with Fox recalling how the person's eyes went 'black' and they 'lock[ed] the door' - the actor's stomach turning and her 'know[ing] it's too late to run'.

And the book doesn't even contain all of her experiences from Fox's past abusive relationships either.

She said: "I wrote a lot of things that didn't make it in the book, because I was like, this is maybe for God's eyes only.

"Some of it is too much when you're a known person. If I had the freedom of just being a poet and people not really wanting to dig too much into my personal life, I would've included more entries like that."

The book also refers to her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly.

Fox revealed the person who suggested she write a book in the first place was her on-off fiancé Machine Gun Kelly - real name Colson Baker.

And MGK also makes a feature in the book of poetry, with Fox opening up about losing a baby with the musician in the final two entries, as well as talking about when she said yes to his proposal too.

Fox resolves: "It gives an elegant place for your pain to live. To put it into art makes it useful to other people so you don't just suffer with it on your own."

Pretty Boys Are Poisonous was released yesterday (7 November).
