Marc Anthony breaks silence after Brooklyn Beckham claimed he was involved in mom Victoria ‘dancing inappropriately’ on him

Marc Anthony was mentioned in Brooklyn Beckham's explosive statement

Marc Anthony has responded to the Beckham family drama, claiming the situation 'is hardly the truth'.

Brooklyn Beckham took aim at his famous parents in a scathing Instagram post last month, claiming he has 'been silent for years'.

Amid the bombshell allegations, the 26-year-old claimed Anthony saw Victoria Beckham 'dancing' on the day he tied the knot to Nicola Peltz, which he described 'inappropriate'.

Part of Brooklyn's statement read: "My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.

"In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone, I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."

Meanwhile, DJ Fat Tony alleged that Anthony had called Brooklyn up on stage before asking 'the most beautiful woman in the room' who he named as Victoria.

During an appearance on This Morning, the DJ claimed: "At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife.

"Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Brooklyn is stuck there on stage. Marc says, 'Put your hands on your mother's hips!' It was a latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room."

Anthony, who has been pals with David and Victoria Beckham for a number of years, spoke to the Hollywood Reporter amid the family feud.

"I have nothing to say about what's happening with the family. They're a wonderful, wonderful family. I've known them since before the kids were born. I'm godfather to Cruz," the singer said.

"I'm really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there. It's extremely unfortunate how it's playing out — but [how it's playing out] is hardly the truth."

While Victoria has not responded to Brooklyn's claims, her youngest son, Cruz, appeared to see the funny side after liking a skit about Victoria's alleged dancing.

Social media star olly_101 recorded a video that quickly went viral as he played a DJ at Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding and pretended to speak to guests in attendance.

"And now for the song requested by the mother of the groom for her first dance with her son!" he said.

With the 90s R&B hit 'Pony' playing in the background, a horrified looking Olly watched on as he referenced Victoria's dancing.

Sources told PEOPLE in 2025 that Nicola was 'in tears' the day she married Brooklyn, and seemingly for all the wrong reasons.

"Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding," the insider told the news outlet. "Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up ... Victoria Beckham!'"
