Jesy Nelson makes some heartbreaking admissions in her newly released documentary, Life After Little Mix.
Nelson shot to fame on The X Factor – which has previously been criticized for the lack of aftercare given to those who appear on the show – as one quarter of Little Mix, which she was in alongside Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Perrie Edwards.
The band won the once-popular singing competition in 2011 and made history as the first girlband on the show to do so.

Nine years later, Jesy decided to quit music and she's now lifting the lid on her decision to leave Little Mix and the the run up to it.
Sadly, before announcing her exit from Little Mix, Jesy said she had tried to take her own life, which understandably left her loved ones fearing from her safety.

When she opened up to her bandmates about how she was feeling before the attempt, Jesy said she felt like 'no one cared'.
She then attempted an overdose and was rushed to hospital.
"I basically just sat everyone down and I just explained how I was feeling," Jesy recalled in her new Prime Video doc.
"I just felt like no one cared... And I remember one of their responses being like ‘are you done now, is that it?’
"I was like ‘okay’ and she was like ‘can I go now?’ I remembering feeling like 'woah’ and that just made me feel alone and like there's no point to this, no one cares."
It was when she was discharged from hospital that Jesy decided to leave Little Mix in 2020.
LADBible Group have approached reps for Leigh-Anne, Perrie, and Jade for comment.

The band addressed the matter on social media at the time of Jesy's exit.
In a post shared to the Little Mix official Instagram page on December 14, 2020, a statement from Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne read: "After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy. We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.
"We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over. We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us. We’re looking forward to seeing so many of you on tour."
