Lil Tay, 18, defends controversial OnlyFans career after revealing shocking amount of money earned in just two weeks

The teenager said she's just trying to 'motivate' 9-5 workers to earn more money

Influencer Lil Tay has defended her controversial OnlyFans career, claiming she earns ‘more money than most people ever f*****g touch in their life’.

Just days after turning 18, Lil Tay, who previously confirmed her legal name is Tay Tian, announced she’d be starting to post paywalled content to OnlyFans.

On the day she launched her account (August 3), the teen posted a screenshot confirming she’d made more than $1 million in three hours.

“We broke the f**k out of that OnlyFans record,” she said at the time.

Lil Tay’s account has grown exponentially since then. On August 13, the star revealed her earnings had shot up to a colossal $15 million, just two weeks after making her first post.

But some critics are less than impressed with the viral creator’s new business venture, with one person taking to social media to write: “Lil Tay launched an OnlyFans on her 18th birthday and made over $1 million in just 3 hours. OnlyFans must be banned.”

“Everyone involved in this should be put behind bars,” claimed someone else.

A third commented: “This generation is cooked.”

“Grown a** men waited for this child to turn 18. That’s just disgusting. This girl has been exploited her whole life,” another penned.

The social media star has since responded to trolls in a new interview with Page Six, telling the outlet that she’s just trying to ‘motivate’ people with 9-5 jobs so they can make more money.

“I get to make more money than most people ever f*****g touch in their life,” the influencer told the outlet.

“Second of all, like, I want to do what I want to do with myself and my body. Every woman should be empowered and every woman should do whatever the hell they want to do.”

The rapper - who first tasted stardom when she was just nine years old - added that, in her eyes, money ‘does’ bring happiness.

Referencing her alleged ‘broke’ childhood, she explained: “That’s exactly why I had to get my money up. And that’s exactly why I can flex on you now and motivate you to get your money up.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lil Tay detailed the downsides of internet fame, alleging a ‘scary situation’ recently took place at her home.

“A couple of days ago, there was somebody in my bushes trying to take photos of me, and I was like, ‘Is that TMZ? I can’t tell what this is, but there are people try to get into my backyard,'” she said.

“There’s people taking photos of me at the beach. It might jeopardize my safety.”

To combat ‘creepy’ subscribers and people who break boundaries, Lil Tay admitted she has now hired security. She’s also been taking boxing lessons to learn how to defend herself.

The teenager has also set the record straight on whether anyone else is in control of her OnlyFans earnings.

“I’m in control. I could do whatever I want with my money,” she says. “I’m looking at a couple of Bugattis.”

In 2023, Lil Tay, then 16, was the subject of a bizarre death hoax.

It’s understood that her Instagram page was hacked, and that a false statement was put out claiming she and her brother had died.

It read: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire's sudden and tragic passing.

"We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected and has left us all in shock. Her brother's passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief.”

TMZ later confirmed that the ‘Sucker 4 Green’ hitmaker was ‘safe and alive’ and that her Instagram had been hacked to share ‘jarring’ false information.

Refuting the claim, Lil Tay said: "It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.

"My Instagram account was compromised by a third party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong.”
