Rapper Kid Cudi has described in court confronting Sean 'Diddy' Combs after his home was broken into shortly after he struck up a romance with Cassie Ventura.
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, took the stand in Combs' ongoing sex trafficking trial today (May 22), after Combs was hit with a series of charges including racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.
The rapper's testimony comes after Ventura underwent a series of questions from both the prosecution and defense last week as she shared insight to her relationship with Combs, who she dated on-and-off for more than a decade.

In his testimony, Cudi claimed that he and Ventura dated in 2011, after she had started dating Combs in 2007.
Cudi alleged that he knew Ventura had been linked to Combs, but told the court the couple had allegedly 'had some problems and they weren't dating anymore'.

However, in December 2011, Cudi claimed to have received a call from Ventura in the early hours of the morning, in which she allegedly said that Combs had 'found out' about their romance.

"She asked me to pick her up. So I did," Cudi said in court.
While Cudi was picking up Ventura, he claimed he called Combs, who told him he was 'waiting' for him.
When Cudi returned to his home, he alleged security cameras had been 'moved' and objects inside had been messed with.
"Gifts were open, some stuff I got from Chanel. And my dog was locked up in the bathroom," he said.

Cudi claimed Combs called him a few times after his house was broken into, but the rapper told Combs he 'didn't want to talk' with him. He also accused Combs of being responsible for the break in.
In another incident, Cudi alleged that he received a call from his dog's caretaker who told him his 'car was on fire'.
Brian Steel, a lawyer for Combs, noted during the trial there were no eyewitnesses placing Combs at his house. However, in her own testimony, Ventura claimed that Combs had beaten and kicked her after finding out about her relationship with Cudi.

She also alleged that Combs had told her Cudi's car would be blown up.
Cudi ultimately came face-to-face with Combs at Soho House, where he described the record producer as 'standing there like a Marvel Super Villain'. Cudi said he told Combs he thought he and Ventura had 'broken up', and noted it was 'weird' that Combs was being 'so calm'.
When Cudi asked Combs about his car, the producer allegedly said: "I don't know what you are talking about."
He later saw Combs 'a few years later', at which point Combs told him: "I'm just sorry for all that bullsh*t."

"I was surprised, so I found peace with it," Cudi said.
When discussing why he and Ventura broke up, Cudi said: "The drama was just getting out of hand and I kind of wanted to give it some space. The break-in and everything. I just felt things were getting out of hand. For my safety, for her safety."
