Justin Timberlake has issued an update to fans after announcing that he's battling Lyme disease.
On July 31, Timberlake took to social media to share an unexpected announcement after concluding his two year-long music tour.
He described the tour as 'the most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience' that he'd given his all to.
Going on to note that he's a private person, Timberlake said he wanted to tell his supporters 'a little bit about what’s going on with me'.

"Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease — which I don’t say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes," he went on to share.
Timberlake continued: "When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.
"I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going."

Now, Timberlake is taking a well-deserved rest following his 'whirlwind' tour over the last couple of years and shared a snap to his Instagram Story yesterday.
In the photo, the 'Sexy Back' hitmaker stuck his tongue out and flashed two peace signs while wearing a sweatshirt with 'I'm not doing sh*t today' written across it.
It also had 'mission accomplished' on it and a ticked checkbox. Timberlake captioned the snap with three green tick emojis.
It comes after the singer landed home just hours prior. His wife of 13 years Jessica Biel shared a photo of Timberlake and his crew on the tarmac by a private jet.
"So happy they're home," The Better Sister actress wrote alongside a red heart.
For Father's day back in June, Biel wrote a gushing post about Timberlake.
"Happy Father’s Day to my spectacular husband who is one incredible dad," she said, adding: "And to all the other dads out there doing their thing. Leading with humility and vulnerability. Showin up with understanding and compassion, and always using humor to get through the hard stuff. Major respect and love to all y’all."
The celebrity pair share sons Silas, 10, and four-year-old Phineas.
