Jennifer Lawrence isn’t one to shy away from a bold question - even when it involves one of Hollywood’s most infamous cheating scandals.
Lawrence seemingly wasted no time in asking Pattinson, with whom she is starring alongside in the upcoming psychological black comedy-drama Die My Love, in which the pair play a young couple who go through some huge life changes.
Like anyone who remembers 2012, the 35-year-old had some questions for the 39-year-old, particularly about his former relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, and the cheating scandal that rocked the internet.
Stewart and Pattinson became Hollywood's IT couple after meeting on the set of the teen romance franchise, before calling it quits in 2012, after the Love Lies Bleeding star admitted to an affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

While appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (October 17), Lawrence was asked if she and Pattinson found any common ground, given that they were both in successful movie franchises, with the Mother! star being shot to stardom after playing Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games.
She then revealed that she did ask him about the infamous cheating scandal, and in particular, Donald Trump's investment in the whole saga.
"If you think I didn’t ask him about Donald Trump tweeting about the breakup with Kristen? I mean, obviously," the 35-year-old joked.

"It was like three days after the photos came out and Trump was like, 'he better leave her!'"
Yes, she’s talking about that moment when photos surfaced of Stewart kissing Sanders on set, and the now-president's tweets urging Pattinson to 'not take back Kristen Stewart', as he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter): "She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again—just watch. He can do much better!"

At the time, Sanders was married to Liberty Ross, who later filed for divorce, and Stewart publicly apologized to Pattinson and for the 'the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me', calling the kiss a 'momentary indiscretion'.
Meanwhile, Sanders also apologized, saying in a statement that he was 'utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family'.
The pair rekindled their relationship later on; however, it wasn't meant to be, as they split for good in 2013.
While Lawrence admitted her curiosity got the better of her, she made it clear there was zero judgment involved, as she said: "Young people make mistakes."

More than ten years on, Pattinson and Stewart have since moved on, with the Spencer star marrying screenwriter Dylan Meyer, while the Good Times actor got engaged and had a child with English singer Suki Waterhouse.
In fact, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke previously revealed that both she and Stewart 'crashed' Pattinson's 37th birthday party back in 2023.
She told Josh Horowitz on his Happy, Sad, Confused podcast: "I kind of crashed with my friend Toni Collette. And then Kristen crashed it too!

"So that was just a few months ago, it was just like, 'Oh my god.' We all hugged each other, like, 'This is so crazy and cool.' I see them both at parties, events and everything, they're both lovely."
