This is what happened to YouTuber Jenna Marbles after she 'disappeared'

If you're a millennial then you probably recognise the name... but you probably haven't heard of her for a little while

Does anyone remember Jenna Marbles?

She was among the original stars of YouTube breaking out on the scene in 2010 and has since generated more than 20 million subscribers and almost two billion views.

While Marbles, whose real name is Jenna Mourey, still has her platform, she hasn't uploaded content since June 2020 - which she subsequently deleted.

Well, the reason for her dramatic exit was due to her disgraced past - the 37-year-old was cancelled.

In the 11-minute apology video she explained to her subscribers the reason why she has chosen to take a step back.

She said: “I do want to tell you how unbelievably sorry I am if I ever offended you by posting this video or by doing this impression, and that that was never my intention.”

It came after Marbles, who was 24 when she rose to fame, posted a video in 2011 portraying blackface as she impersonated Nicki Minaj.

Speaking about it in the video she said: "It was not my intention to do blackface. I do want to tell you how unbelievably sorry I am if I ever offended you by posting this video or by doing this impression, and that that was never my intention.

"It’s not okay. It’s shameful. It’s awful. I wish it wasn’t part of my past."

So, what happened to her after she disappeared?

Well, Marbles has been tight-lipped since her departure from the platform but we do know about some major developments in her life because her partner is a fellow YouTuber.

Back in April 2021, just 10 months after her exit, her then boyfriend Julien Solomita told fans how he had proposed to Marbles - and the couple then got married the year on in December.

While only a month into their honeymoon period, Solomita took to Instagram to inform people that a female stalker had broken into their home after months of harassing them.

The woman was immediately pepper sprayed by Solomita who managed to get her out of the house before calling the cops, who subsequently arrested her.

But with over 1.8 billion views on the platform and having created her own dog toy based on her own pooch Mr Marbles, she still has a stream of income - which is estimated to be around $2,000 a month.

Back in 2022, she was spotted by a fan who got a picture of her at a mall and uploaded it online, and fans were hopeful it could mark her return.

One person even suggested her comeback video be titled 'Jennaissance', a play on words with Jenna and renaissance - a French word meaning 'rebirth'.

Do you think Marbles should make a return?
