Hawk Tuah girl finally unveils her mystery boyfriend 'Pookie' to the world

Internet star Haliey Welch, perhaps better known as 'Hawk Tuah girl', has revealed who her boyfriend is after she first referenced him in her now-infamous viral video.

Viewers of Welch's iconic interview with by Tim & Dee TV might have initially missed her brief reference to her boyfriend, instead being busy focusing on her response to the question of 'What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?'

It was Welch's immediate response with a 'hawk-tuah!' spitting motion that put her into the spotlight, but some fans did notice that she said she was in a situationship at the time.

Welch only referred to the mystery man as 'Pookie', but in the latest episode of her podcast, Talk Tuah, she finally introduced him to the world.

It turns out Pookie's real name is Kelby Blackwell, and Welch had initially tried to shield him from her antics.

Blackwell recalled the moment he first knew she's done something of note, saying on the podcast: “I didn't really know what to say. I just know that I woke up one morning to a Snapchat from you that said, ‘You're going to see something this morning that you probably don't want to see, just disregard it'."

Welch might have worked fast, but the internet worked faster.

Blackwell continued: "Then I opened up my TikTok, and there it was all over the place."

Welch's boyfriend works as a plumber, and explained he and Welch had started 'hooking up' last year, but he wasn't in a place to fully commit when they first got together.

He explained: “I was actually in a relationship for right around two and a half years. Nobody knows that, of course, cuz Haley did not bring that up. So everybody just thinks I'm a sorry sack of s**t,” he said, referring to their 'situationship'.

He continued: “We broke up I think last March, and it was just kind of like a dirty breakup. So the last couple months after that before I started actually like considering Haley—I was more working on myself and working on like being able to bring her what she needed for herself, to where I didn't want to bring the hurt on to her.”

Welch made clear that Blackwell's explanation was 'fair', but joked: "I'm also an impatient b**ch and when I want something I want something like right then and there."

Blackwell also told people who believe he only went public with Welch after her fame that they can 'believe what [they] want'.

“At the end of the day, I know what I feel in my heart and that I love Haley. So that's just that,” he said.
