Haley Kalil has defended some very candid remarks she made while discussing her marriage to former NFL star Matt Kalil in the hopes of getting a lawsuit against her thrown out.

Haley and Matt wed in 2015 and split seven years later. The reason for their divorce was cited as 'irreconcilable differences' and not much more was said on the matter - however, last year, Haley shared some more details about the reason for the breakdown of their marriage.

She was 22 when she tied the knot, and confessed on a Twitch stream with Marlon Garcia that she was a virgin on her wedding day.

The former Swimsuit Illustrated model said of her marriage: "We were trying to do the damn thing."

It's at this point she tells Garcia: "I'm going to type something on my phone that the stream can't see. That'll put it into perspective for you."

Whatever she showed Garcia sent the two of them into fits of giggles, with Haley saying at one point: "Our whole marriage."

"I was going to try it all. We tried it all: therapist, doctors. Looked up lipo-tye s**t," she went on.

"That’s why it’s kinda funny. It’s like my life is a comedy, and it kinda writes itself. [That was] the biggest factor... Love him, but he’s my homie.

"He's like 0.01 percent of the population. We’ve tried, impossible unless you’re going to be in tears type s**t."

Elsewhere, she appeared to describe her ex-husband's penis as being the size of 'two Coke cans stacked on top of each other, maybe even a third'.

Matt proceeded to sue Haley for her comments, claiming they gave him 'unwanted attention and invasive commentary from the public' and that his family 'have been forced to endure the ongoing public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements'.

Haley's now trying to get the suit thrown out and, in the hopes of doing so, has claimed she never actually mentioned Matt by name in her tell-all chat.

Matt's suit states that 'viewers could and did readily infer' whom she was discussing, but Haley has argued that this was because they're both public figures rather than it being from what she said.

She also claims there’s 'no case law where a woman’s truthful account of her own sexual pain has been found to be an invasion of someone else’s privacy', according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

Addressing the matter, Haley's lawyer, Matthew Bialick, told TMZ: "A woman’s right to provide a truthful account of her own relationships and her own past sexual trauma lies at the very core of First Amendment protections.

"Mr. Kalil’s brief mentioned the First Amendment a grand total of three times and offered no constitutional analysis whatsoever. We are more confident than ever that this case will be dismissed and that Ms. Kalil will be awarded her attorneys’ fees."

Ryan Saba of Rosen Saba LLP, an attorney for Matt Kalil, told UNILAD: "Haley Kalil’s motion to dismiss does not dispute the fact that she wantonly disclosed private and intimate details about Matt Kalil that resulted in widespread ridicule and unwanted attention.

"The motion completely misses the point that a spouse does not have a right to expose private and confidential marital and sexual details for the purpose of profiting. We expect that the motion will be completely denied."
