Fans of Celine Dion are flooding to social media in support after she made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Grammys.

In 2022, the 'My Heart Will Go On' singer publicly revealed she'd been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition that causes muscular stiffness and spasms called stiff person syndrome (SPS).

Dion was forced to postpone her world tour and wasn't seen in public for a while as she learnt how to manage her diagnosis.

However, last night at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony, Dion shocked fans by appearing on stage to present an award.

Prepare to get hit by all the feels:

Dion first spoke out about her diagnosis in a video posted to her Instagram account in December 2022.

She said: "As you know I've always been an open book and I wasn't ready to say anything before but I'm ready now.

"I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time and its been really difficult for me to face my challenges and to talk about everything that I've been going through.

"Recently I've been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called the stiff-person syndrome which affects one in a million people."

The singer explained the condition was causing spasms which impact 'every aspect' of her daily life, including her ability to walk 'sometimes' as well as the use of her vocal cords.

"For me to reach you again I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this moment and I have hope that I'm on the road to recovery. This is my focus and I'm doing everything I can to recuperate," she said.

And thankfully, Dion has reached a point where she's well enough to step on stage again, surprising fans with her appearance last night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Stepping on stage at the Grammys last night, Dion presented the award for album of the year - an award she herself received for 1996 release Falling into You.

Responding to the raucous applause as she got up on stage, Dion said: "Thank you, all! I love you right back. You look beautiful. When I say I'm happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart.

"Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.

"And now it gives me great joy to present a Grammy Award that two legends Diana Ross and Sting presented to me 27 years ago. These are the outstanding nominees for album of the year."

Taylor Swift went on to win the award - for a record-breaking fourth time - for her album Midnights.

And as well as Swifties flooding to social media to celebrate her win, fans of Dion are also flocking to X - formerly known as Twitter - in excitement over the star's appearance.

One X user said: "Canada's Queen shows class and elegance as usual."

"A true queen," another wrote.

And a third commented: "That got me in the feels that she showed up."
