Emily Ratajkowski provided the perfect response after a random man told her to 'put a shirt on'.

The author and model posted a short clip of the incident to her TikTok page and fans are quite frankly losing it as a result. Take a look:

Captioning the video, Emily penned: "Wait for it: man tells me to put on a shirt."

With her camera in selfie mode, she could be seen walking down a NYC street in a tank top.

And as she crosses the road, a man, who was seen whizzing past on a bicycle, could be heard shouting: "Girl, put on a shirt!"

The TikTok video was then followed with a snippet of Charli XCX's '365' from her latest and much talked about album.

"Who the f**k are you? I'm a brat when I'm bumpin' that. Now I wanna hear my track, are you bumpin' that?" the lyrics said.

Many fans have since flocked to the comments section of the video to leap to Emily's defence.

"Imagine saying that to Emily Ratajkowski," one person said.

A second added: "The audacity to speak to a stranger like that. You should dress and be whoever you choose to be," while a third remarked: "I never acknowledge them either. Let them feel embarrassed for talking to themselves because I don’t exchange my, very valuable, energy for free."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "And this happens to THEE Emily Ratajkowski. Imagine how us 'ordinary women' are treated & feel. She’s literally covered so much. disturbing."

Penning in the description to the video, Emily added: "Famously not demure, famously not mindful."

This is of course referring to the latest TikTok trend taking over the internet.

TikToker Jools Lebron, who started the trend after she shared a video on how women should present themselves in the workplace.

Lebron recommend employees to focus on looks that are 'demure' - something that has seemingly resonated with a lot of the internet.

"You see how I do my makeup for work? Very demure. Very mindful," she said in the video.

"I don’t come to work with a green cut crease. I don’t look like a clown when I go to work. I don’t do too much. I’m very mindful while I’m at work. You see how I look very presentable? The way I came to the interview is the way I go to the job."

The TikToker added: "A lot of you girls go to the interview looking like Marge Simpson and go to the job looking like Patty and Selma.

"Not demure. I’m very modest. I’m very mindful. You see my shirt? Only a little chee chee out, not my cho cho. Be mindful of why they hired you.”
