TikTok creator reveals 'demure' meme changed her life as she reveals transition plans with new-found money

The 'demure' trend has taken over TikTok's 'For You' pages over the past week

Forget Brat girl summer, there's a new trend in town that's changing one influencer's life.

In a summer where we seem to constantly add to the TikTok dictionary, a new buzzword is in town known as 'demure'.

So, how did the trend come about? Well, it is all thanks to Jools Lebron, who identifies as a transgender woman.

She shared a clip on TikTok about how women should present themselves in the workplace.

Lebron recommend employees to focus on looks that are 'demure', and the message has seemingly resonated.

"You see how I do my makeup for work? Very demure. Very mindful," she said in the video.

"I don’t come to work with a green cut crease. I don’t look like a clown when I go to work. I don’t do too much. I’m very mindful while I’m at work. You see how I look very presentable? The way I came to the interview is the way I go to the job."

She added: "A lot of you girls go to the interview looking like Marge Simpson and go to the job looking like Patty and Selma.

"Not demure. I’m very modest. I’m very mindful. You see my shirt? Only a little chee chee out, not my cho cho. Be mindful of why they hired you.”

“Here’s your reality check, diva,” she added. “What’s the name you’d like me to make it out to?”

Well, Lebron's tips on how to be demure in the workplace have been a hit with pretty much everyone on the app, with people being left absolutely obsessed and using the audio of the now-viral clip in their own videos.

In a further post uploaded last week, Lebron has spoke about how the new trend has changed her life and what she plans to do with the money obtained by her newfound fame.

"One day, I was playing cashier and making videos on my break, and now I’m flying across countries to host events, and I’m gonna be able to finance the rest of my transition," she said.

She then emotionally added: "I finally said it without crying."

The 'demure' trend seems to poke fun at the influencer mindset and 'core', which a lot of us are quite frankly tired of.

Gen Z in particular are loving this new trend, with one person penning on TikTok: "I CANNOT STOP SAYING VERY DEMURE VERY MINDFUL."

While a second added: "This TikTok will be my personality for the next few weeks or months. Thank you."
