Elon Musk's daughter has revealed the bizarre way she found out about potentially having another half-brother.

Over the weekend, a woman called Ashley St. Clair dropped a bombshell statement on Twitter alleging that the 53-year-old Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder had become a dad again.

Musk is already a father to 12 other children, including his estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, who revealed she found out in a rather unconventional way about her new potential half sibling.

The 21-year-old took to TikTok to post about the unusual experience and revealed it isn't the first time she had learnt about a new Musk sibling in this way.

Vivian used a popular TikTok sound clip taken from the TV show, Phineas and Ferb, and captioned it: "Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I found out I had a half-sibling through Reddit, I'd have two nickels.. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?"

The video soon went viral with more than 580,000 views at the time of writing.

The youngster followed up with a joke that she doesn't know how many siblings she has, which makes for a good 'two truths and lie'.

Her followers also shared some of their own interesting family stories, with one saying they learned they had a brother on Facebook.

"My dad was the same", a second wrote. "I was an only child... until he passed and nope I had 15 siblings or so."

Another joked: "You are having a disproportionate number of character-building experiences."

A fourth chimed: "You dad needs to be spayed."

Musk welcomed Vivian with his first wife, Justin Wilson, in 2004.

Vivian filed court documents to legally change her gender from male to female in April 2022 and took the maiden name of her mother, stating: "I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."

The news comes as Musk's brood includes twins, Vivian and Griffin, and triplets, Kai, Saxon and Damian from Wilson, who divorced from Musk in 2008.

Musk then had three more children with singer, Grimes: X Æ A-Xii (known as 'X'), Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.

Then, he had twins, Strider and Azure, with his Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis and another unnamed boy last summer.

The new baby with St. Clair will take Musk's children to 13.

The 26-year-old author wrote on Twitter: "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father."

"I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.

"I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting."
