Elon Musk breaks silence after author Ashley St Clair claimed she'd given birth to his 13th child

Elon Musk has taken to Twitter amid author Ashley St. Clair releasing a statement about their 'new baby'.

Author Ashley St. Clair took to social media on February 15 claiming her five-month-old child's father is the Tesla CEO.

Shared to Twitter, the statement reads: "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.

"I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child's privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting."

And Musk has since responded to some of the drama, replying to a tweet sharing an alleged screenshot of tweets between a user called Greg Price and Ashley St. Clair, Musk writing: "Whoa."

The screenshots shows a tweet from Price on May 20 which says: "He's got a kid with a woman already. Seems unlikely to work out."

And a since-deleted post from St. Clair responds: "Well he actually has 7 kids & goes through women pretty fast."

At the time of writing, Musk has a confirmed 12 children with three other women - St Clair would be the fourth and their alleged child the 13th of his brood.

A user named Milo shared the screenshot, writing: "Ashley St Clair plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare Elon Musk."

What part Musk's 'Whoa' is responding to? Who knows.

St. Clair's representative, President and CEO of Digital Strategy Ltd, Brian Glicklich, also took to Twitter yesterday (February 15) to share a statement addressing Ashley and Elon's alleged relationship, noting the pair 'have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising the child for some time' and it was 'disappointing' a tabloid reporter allegedly 'repeatedly ambushed' St Clair and her family and 'made it impossible to complete that process confidentially'.

The statement concluded: "We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashely, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share."
