Dua Lipa and Callum Turner were visibly distressed after being hounded by paparazzi this week, as the couple pleaded with them to leave them be.

Turner and Lipa – who are arguably one of the hottest celebrity couples in the public eye at the moment – enjoyed a meal at Le Voltaire in Paris, France, recently but their evening was ruined as they left the establishment when paparazzi ignored their requests to be left alone.

In a video that's doing the rounds online, Masters of the Air actor Turner leaves the restaurant on his own and is heard saying to the numerous photographers outside: "Guys, guys, guys, we live around the corner. What are you doing?

"You have to leave us alone. Please. You're telling everyone where we live. It's not okay."

But Turner's requests were denied and as his wife-to-be Lipa exited the restaurant, the paparazzi followed them.

"No, no, no. We're not doing this," Lipa said angrily after it became clear that they were going to follow them.

One photographer is then heard saying that if they give them a photo opportunity then they will leave the couple alone.

"Dua, just give us one minute we'll leave you alone," one said.

They then shouted at the singer to 'show your face' as she held her hand up to the cameras.

They walked around the corner hand-in-hand and the paps followed them, sparking Lipa to shout 'please go away'.

They continued to heckle her for holding her hand up, when a man, who is thought to have worked at the restaurant they had just been to, held up his hat for the 'Houdini' hitmaker to shield her face.

When they realized they weren't going to get the photo they wanted, the men thanked Lipa and the video cut off.

The paparazzi involved in the viral incident have since been heavily criticized by people on social media, with people calling their behavior 'deranged' and 'unhinged'.

"This has to be exhausting omg," one said of the A-list couple's unpleasant experience.

Someone else hit out: "This is so disrespectful… When she's working, she always poses for you, but she wasn't working; she was having a moment with her fiancé and they asked you to step away more than once.

"You kept yelling at her… This video is really uncomfortable."

"Respect their privacy. Damn," added another.

Dozens of other people online agreed that Lipa and Turner should have been left in peace.
