As Diddy’s case continues, the court has heard more insight into his relationship with Cassie and new texts show the aftermath of an alleged assault.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested last year in September. The disgraced music mogul has been accused of racketeering and sex trafficking by force fraud or coercion among other charges, which he's all denied, and is currently on trial.

Throughout the trial, the court has heard about the dynamic between Combs and his longtime girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, popularly known as Cassie.
Ahead of the trial, video footage leaked online and showed Combs allegedly attacking Cassie in the InterContinental Hotel in Century City in March 2016.
Following the leak, and ahead of being arrested, Combs issued an apology video, and called it the ‘darkest time in his life’.
He said: "So difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, sometimes you got to do that. I was f**ked up.

"I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses, my behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I'm disgusted.
"I was disgusted then when I did it, I am disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab.
"Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I am committed to be a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness, I'm truly sorry."

However, his apology was rubbished by many people on social media, with many condemning the music mogul for his antics.
More recently in the ongoing trial, Assistant US Attorney Emily Johnson revealed the conversation between Cassie and Ventura following the assault.
In the messages, Combs apologized for the incident while Ventura scolded him for his behavior.
Days after the assault, the court was told that Combs texted Ventura: “Baby I cant say it enough Im so sorry!!!!!”

The same day, Ventura allegedly responded: “I still have crazy bruising from Friday. I would be a dummy to subject myself to that possibly happening again.

“When you get f***** up the wrong way, you always want to show me that you have the power and you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll, I’m someone’s child.”
In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Combs for allegedly subjecting her to a decade-long ‘cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking'.

Ventura filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan alleging Combs 'frequently beat' her during their on-off relationship from 2007 to 2018.
Just one day later, Combs and Ventura announced they'd reached a settlement.
