Demi Moore is once again commanding global attention - but this time, it's not for a movie role.
Instead, it's for the remarkable way she continues to rewrite the rules of Hollywood stardom. Recently named one of Glamour’s Global Women of the Year, the 62-year-old actress has become a symbol of self-acceptance, resilience, artistic reinvention, and, of course, openness.
Speaking to Glamour UK, Moore reflected on how she has built her own sense of peace, crediting daily meditation, time at her Idaho home, and her ever-present micro chihuahua, Pilaf, for helping her stay grounded.
The Ghost star said: “With everything I’ve been through, which has been a lot, I wouldn’t trade where I am today,...the thing that I feel like I have today that I certainly didn’t have when I was younger was the freedom to know that I don’t have to have the answer.”

Yet for all her serenity now, Moore’s past has been defined by a striking honesty, particularly when it comes to her relationships and sexuality.
Infidelity the night before her wedding
In her 2019 memoir Inside Out, the film star revealed that on the eve of her first wedding to musician Freddy Moore in 1981, she made a decision that would haunt her for years.
She wrote: “The night before we got married, instead of working on my vows, I was calling a guy I’d met on a movie set… I snuck out of my own bachelorette party and went to his apartment.”
She added: “Why did I do that?... Because I felt there was no room to question what I’d already put in motion. I couldn’t get out of the marriage, but I could sabotage it.”
Her candor didn’t stop there, either.
Moore also claimed she took Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer’s virginity while filming No Small Affair in the 1980s. Cryer later denied the account, but said he had ‘nothing but affection for her and not a regret in the world’.
Threesome allegations from her marriage to Ashton Kutcher
Years later, during her marriage to Ashton Kutcher, Moore revealed that she agreed to one of his fantasies in an attempt to strengthen their bond.
Moore wrote in her memoir: “I put him first. So when he expressed his fantasy of bringing a third person into our bed, I didn’t say no. I wanted to show him how great and fun I could be.”
The actor later reflected that the experience ‘blurred the lines’ in their relationship and, in Kutcher’s view, 'to some extent justified what he’s done'.
In 2020, Moore channelled her trademark openness into Dirty Diana, an erotic audio drama exploring women’s sexual fantasies.
She told Vanity Fair: “There are points where I am overcome by old conditioning… where I feel a little uncomfortable or shy.
"But I have to then stop and check myself and say, 'Why? Why am I feeling that? There’s nothing wrong with it'."
