Barry Keoghan has issued a lengthy statement calling out the 'lies, hatred and disgusting commentary' following his rumoured split from Sabrina Carpenter.
It comes as Keoghan was forced to deactivate his Instagram account after receiving a barrage of abuse following rumors he cheated on his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina.
A source told Us Weekly at the time he was 'very devoted to her happiness' but explained the split came as the pair were 'at different places in their lives.'
"It’s been challenging for their relationship since she started going on tour and has been gone a lot," the source continued.

"Their schedules were not aligning. All the time spent apart it was hard to maintain a relationship amid her career exploding."
They added that the hitmaker was 'being pulled in so many directions' she simply didn't have the time to 'commit to a relationship.'
However, the Saltburn actor has since taken to Twitter pleading with fans to 'be respectful,' stating he can 'only sit and take so much.'
Keoghan said he felt compelled to respond to his name being 'dragged' across the internet because 'too many lines are being crossed' after his own grandmother's house was targeted.
"I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them," he wrote.
"Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine."
The 32-year-old called out those that had been 'dragging [his] character and everything [he] worked extremely hard for and stands for,' adding that people had been discussing him being a 'heroine baby' and how he grew up, dragging the actor's mother into conversations, knocking on his granny's door and even sitting outside his son's home in a bid to intimidate him.
"That's crossing a line. Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy," he wrote.
"I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what."
The Irish actor concluded his statement by reminding fans that his son will have to read all the comments made about his father on the internet when he's older, once again asking people to be respectful.
