Ariana Grande trolled as fans point out boyfriend Ethan Slater's uncanny resemblance to her brother

After their alleged affair, trolls have been targeting Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater online.

After an alleged new romance, singer Ariana Grande has been targeted by trolls for a really weird reason.

The singer has reportedly gotten close to her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, with the actor even separating from his spouse.

However, fans have noticed a rather uncanny resemblance between her rumoured new beau and her older brother.

It’s hard to unsee the similarities between the singer’s older brother, Frankie, and Slater – which has given some people the major ick.

Their resemblance was first pointed out on social media by Instagram user @martinisandmascara, sharing a side-by-side photo of the men.

Above the awkward image, she wrote: “I'm no Freud... but like, this seems interesting.”

Many agreed, with the phenomenon now trending across multiple social media platforms including Twitter, Reddit and TikTok.

The co-stars had a rumoured romance on set.

In recent weeks, Slater filed for divorce from his wife Lily Jay.

The couple had been together since high school and started dating back in 2012, before marrying just six years later in 2018.

Last year, they also welcomed their first child together in January.

Whilst nothing has been confirmed by the Wicked actors, Jay previously hinted about the scandal.

Commenting on the ‘7 Rings’ singer, she pointedly told Page Six: “[Ariana’s] the story really. Not a girl’s girl.”

“My family is just collateral damage. The story is her and Dalton," she stated, adding that her focus was now on being a ‘good mom’.

Meanwhile, rumours have also begun to swirl about Grande’s marriage to Dalton Gomez after the musician was seen at Wimbledon without her wedding ring.

A source also allegedly confirmed this to People magazine, telling the outlet that the couple ‘separated in January’.

They added: “She and Ethan recently began dating, and he is separated from his wife.”

Here’s hoping the trolls change their tune soon.

UNILAD has contacted Slater and Grande's representatives for comment.
