Ariana Grande has separated from husband Dalton Gomez after being married for 2 years

The pair tended to keep their relationship relatively private

Ariana and her husband, Dalton Gomez have split up, according to a source who confirmed to US media, after being married for two years.

Grande, 30, and luxury real estate agent Gomez, 27, tied the knot on 15 May 2021, having got engaged the Christmas before.

The pair tended to keep their relationship relatively private, with Grande previously saying this was very much intentional, having written on Instagram: "Sharing special, personal life things that make u happy on the internet can be truly traumatic. I know I’ve taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones and myself."

Last August, she posted a makeup tutorial on TikTok, at which point she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.

However, she was quick to shut down any hearsay, telling her fans: "I'm just not wearing my wedding ring, it's getting cleaned. I'm not getting a divorce before you start, don't."

Now the star is reported to have split from Gomez, with a source telling People that they separated earlier this year.

The source said the pair ‘have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship’ since.

Back in May, Grande celebrated her second anniversary with a post on Instagram, posting the number ‘2’ to mark the number of years since they got married, along with a heart and the phrase ‘3.5 together’ - the latter being a nod to the number of years they’ve been together overall.

She added: “I love him so.”

Just a few months earlier on Valentine’s Day, Gomez also posted a selfie of him and Grande, which she reposted.

“My forever valentine,” he said, tagging her in the post.

Grande and Gomez got married in an intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California, with People reporting there were fewer than 20 people present.

Grande enjoyed a day out at Wimbledon at the weekend.

At the time, a rep for the star confirmed to the outlet that she was a married woman, saying: "The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

Grande had been the one to confirm their engagement in December 2020, posting a photo of her diamond and pearl engagement ring.

“Forever n then some," she said.

More recently, Grande was spotted in the crowd at Wimbledon, having been in London filming the screen adaptation of Wicked.

She posted a series of snaps and videos from the day, including a photo of her hanging out with Bridgerton star, Jonathan Bailey.
