MrBeast has reacted to his friend and long-time collaborator Chris Tyson starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Tyson made the announcement earlier this week, with several posts on Twitter explaining his decision to undergo the gender-affirming treatment.

Whilst MrBeast and his other co-stars have praised him for the news, some fans have reacted angrily and even told YouTuber that he would ‘regret’ seeking medical support.

In fact, Tyson was forced to address their changing appearance after fans began to speculate about his gender in comments on YouTube.

Some took to social media, with one fan even sharing to photograph of the viral video creator and pointedly asking the content creator ‘WTF happened’.

Without hesitation, Tyson responded: “HRT, and it’s only been 2 months.”

Having confirmed that they were undergoing hormone replacement therapy, the YouTuber explained his decision in a follow-up thread on their other Twitter account.

They wrote: “Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles gnc [gender non-conforming] people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

Tyson also admitted that they’d been apprehensive about discussing their gender, adding: "I was super nervous to be public about this because I’ve always been so private when it comes to this, but seeing conversations started because of me is amazing."

The 26-year-old YouTuber’s friends have rushed to support the star, including MrBeast co-founder Jimmy Donaldson.

Replying with a touching comment and several heart emojis on the lengthy thread, he wrote: “Gotchu…(I did one more heart than Karl because I’m a better friend).”

He even responded to another comment on Tyson's main Twitter account, which suggested the creator would regret undergoing the gender-affirming treatment.

The former fan angrily wrote: “In a few years, look back at this thread and remember they were never your friends. Only yes-men cowards. Hope you come out of this safe.”

Using his often-quoted insult, MrBeast told the transphobic user: “Opinion irrelevant. Ratio.”

Desperate to get one more jab in, the hateful fan continued: “I have 30 followers, so go ahead and ratio me.

"I'll still rest easy knowing I'm not a coward who idly stands by watching a friend ruin his own life.”

However, other soon leapt to Tyson's defence and have vowed to support the creator on the new journey.
