Sometimes your mouth kicks in before your brain does - it can happen to the best of us.

And it seems even celebrities aren't immune as Miley Cyrus had a slip of the tongue when interacting with a fan.

Thankfully, Miley discarded her squeaky clean image years ago and can now afford to make these kinds of blunders.

The interaction took place back in May 2019, but has since gone viral on social media after the singer's accidental blunder during the interaction left a lot of commenters in stitches.

But this wasn't any ordinary fan either as she just so happened to be a TikToker, a Rocket League streamer Georgina, better known on TikTok as @georgina_jgr.

In the clip, a grinning Georgina can be seen pulling out a copy of the Nicholas Sparks novel, The Last Song, and telling the 'Flowers' singer that she 'has to sign this' for her.

Her little slip of the tongue has gone viral on social media but many of Miley’s fans have rejoiced.

The book has likely has a lot of significance for Miley, due to the fact she and her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, who she divorced in 2020, met on the set of the movie adaption of the book.

At the time of the clip, the couple would have still been together.

Georgina added: "I had it in my bag because I was reading it again, this was when Miley and Liam was together though."

While taking the book, the singer realized she didn’t have anything to sign with so went to ask Georgina for a pen.

However, it didn't end up coming out like that.

"Do you have a lighter on you?" she asked instead.

Perhaps she thought the action she was doing by miming a pen scratch matched with her words - but she soon realized her slip-up.

The A-lister then laughed: "You know where my mind is...Can I have a Sharpie?"

And social media users had a good laugh at her brain fart.

“Miley get yourself together girl,” one user joked.

"THIS IS SO FUNNY." another said.

"I simply love her." a third said.

While a fourth said: "She even was like air writing but still said lighter."

And a fifth said they would have came to her aid, adding: "I would've said 'yes, of course', instinctively."

Miley has been 'sober sober' from smoking weed since in 2020 when she decided to kick the habit once and for all.

She told Variety: "I did a lot of [research into my] family history, [and we have] a lot of addiction and mental health challenges.

"By going through that, asking 'Why am I the way that I am?', and understanding the past, [means] we understand the present and the future much more clearly."
