Johnny Depp has shared his first-ever TikTok post to express his thanks to fans and supporters who stood by him throughout his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

The actor took to the platform to share his video today (7 June), after the jury in the defamation case determined he should be awarded $15 million in damages.

As well as showing scenes from the time of the trial, Depp included clips of his life over the past week, during which time he has been touring the UK alongside guitarist Jeff Beck.

He made his appreciation clear in the caption of the TikTok, writing: "To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together."

Depp went on to describe his supporters as his 'employers', potentially in reference to the impacts the accusations against him have had on his career.

In 2020, the actor was asked to step away from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise following the loss of in his libel case against The Sun, which had described him as a 'wife beater' in an article.

Fans have made clear the love goes both ways, with many commenting to share their adoration for the actor, welcome him to TikTok and congratulate him on his win.
