Filming on Halle Berry's new movie interrupted as set invaded by black bears

Some unsolicited guests made an appearance on Halle Berry's latest film set.

The set of Halle Berry’s latest flick was invaded by a family of black bears, supposedly halting the horror project as they mooched around.

Berry, 56, is currently working on the upcoming horror movie, Never Let Go.

The forthcoming Lionsgate film follows a mother (played by Berry) and her twin sons (Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins) who are plagued by an evil spirit that’s intent on tormenting them.

However, when one of the twins questions whether the evil spirit is actually just an illusion of their own minds, a fight-or-flight survival takes place.

Alexandre Aja is on directing duties for Never Let Go while Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Dan Levine have all been given producer credits.

Elsewhere, Berry is set to appear in the new Netflix thriller Our Man From Jersey as well as the newly-announced Maude v Maude.

The latter sees Berry starring alongside Angelina Jolie in what has been dubbed a “Bond vs Bourne” global action thriller.

Berry is booked and busy — so it’s unclear where she is right now and what project she’s currently focusing on.

However, we do know she’s definitely working on something as she recently took to her Instagram Stories to share a behind-the-scenes look at some unauthorised guests.

In a short video posted to Instagram, the Catwoman actress caught her set being invaded by a trio of bears.

In the clip, a large black mama bear can be seen prowling around the edge of a woodland area. In tow are her two bear cubs.

She captioned the clip, ‘When a mama bear and her babies show up to your set!’

They might look cute, but black bears can be deadly when provoked.

However, if left alone, North American Black bears, native to the US and Canada, aren’t as likely to attack humans as the ferocious Brown bear.

According to the North American Bear Centre, most black bear attacks are simply just defensive reactions when people get too close.

Furthermore, according to the National Park Service, there’s only a 0.02% chance of you getting attacked by a bear. That boils down to around a 1 in 2.1 million chance.

At the time of writing, no other information surrounding the movie set invasion has come to light. It’s therefore assumed that filming restarted following the interruption.

Release dates for Berry’s forthcoming films Never Let Go, Our Man From Jersey and Maude v Maude have yet to be announced.
