Drake suggests he's thinking about retiring from the rap industry

One of the biggest artists in the music industry has spoken about a 'graceful exit' while he's still on top.

Drake has sparked rumors he might be about to retire.

He's arguably one of the biggest rappers in the game and has one of the largest followings in the entire music industry.

However, he's suggested that he's started planning to bow out while still on top.

He mentioned this little tidbit of information in a teaser clip that has been taken from Lil Yatchy's interview with the Rap Radar podcast.

Drake said: “I think I’m at the point now where I just wanna, like — I feel like maybe, we talked about this the other day, but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit."

Now, a 'graceful exit' could mean a whole host of things.

It could be a graceful exit from the place he was at that time, a graceful exit from the interview he was in...it could be anything.

It could even be a stunt to get more people to tune into the podcast to see whether Drake elaborates on what he's saying.

The rest of the interview drops on Friday, February 24, so you'll we could be getting answers pretty soon.

However, many have suggested he's pointing to his career in the rap industry.

Drake has certainly been busy in the last few months, dropping three albums in the space of two years, with Certified Lover Boy in 2021 and then Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss in 2022.

The latter was a collaboration with 21 Savage.

Interestingly, Drake recently sounded like he was already looking back on his career rather than looking forward.

During his show at the Apollo Theater, he mused about how far he's come since he started rapping.

According to Uproxx, he said: “I wanted to make this a show about gratitude.

“This is a little story that we put together.

"My deep love for my family, for my dear friends, and for each and every one of you who have been supporting me for a long time.

He added: This is my bedroom in my mom’s basement where I wrote a lot of new songs. I’m gonna play you some of the s**t that got us out of here.”

We'll have to wait and see what comes out of that interview because a retirement from Drake would leave a massive hole in the rape game.
