Britney Spears has announced that she has changed her name in a new Instagram post.
Free from her controversial conservatorship with her father, the 41-year-old has been rather active on social media documenting her new way of life.
In recent days, Spears has splashed the cash on a new tattoo, amongst other things.

And now, the singer has announced she has a new name - and even changed it on her Instagram.
Posting a photo of Mars in recent hours, Spears wrote: "A bright one … easy does it !!! Thank you, childhood friend, I found my ball … don’t underestimate the power of purity !!!
"I see right through it all … it has liquid and is wet … it’s playful and has mass !!!

That's right, Spears said she changed her name to 'River Red'.
This came a few hours after the pop star discussed her apparent 'manic meltdown' at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Sporting a flashy Coca-Cola two-piece, Spears described the incident as her being 'tipsy'.
Taking to Instagram once more, she said: "I’ve been at my Aunt Suzy’s house, we made 3 pies to give at church service this Sunday !!! I hear the men prefer the cherry and the women prefer banana!!!
"Either way … the news of me being tipsy in the news then exploiting my past is a clever way to make me look like a pardoned woman that we can look at and say AWWW !!!
