Brad Pitt Has Best Response When Asked Why He Was Wearing Skirt To Bullet Train Premiere

Brad Pitt has revealed why he wore a skirt on the Berlin red carpet of Bullet Train

Brad Pitt shook up men’s red carpet dressing when he rocked up to the German premiere of his latest film, Bullet Train, wearing a linen skirt on Tuesday (19 July), and the actor has now revealed why he opted for the loose-fitting number.

Have a listen to the man himself explain his fashion choice:

Based on the book of the same name by Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train follows a deadly assassin (Pitt) as he attempts to carry out a mission on the fastest train in the world.

A synopsis from Sony reads: “In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug's latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe - all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives - on the world's fastest train.

“The end of the line is just the beginning in this non-stop thrill-ride through modern-day Japan from David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2.”

The star-studded cast also features Joey King as The Prince, Andrew Koji as Yuichi Kimura, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tangerine, and Brian Tyree Henry as Lemonade.

Speaking about sharing a screen with Pitt back in March, The Kissing Booth star King admitted she had first-day jitters.

King told Collider at the time: “I’ve been doing this for a long time, but when I was with such heavy hitters in that movie and David Leitch directing this movie, I showed up to set being like, ‘Hey'. I felt like a kid on the first day at school. I was like, ‘I don’t know anything about acting apparently, so I’m really excited to be here'. [Laughs] But he just made me feel so comfortable, and so did Brad.”

King added: "Everyone was like, ‘No, it’s not your first day at school. You’re gonna do great', and I was like, ‘Aw, thanks guys'. "And just the whole experience, like you said, he’s the king of stunt work and action, and I cannot wait to see this movie because from the stuff we filmed and from the stuff I saw, it is just so cool. It is so ridiculously cool.”

Bullet Train hits cinemas on 5 August.
