Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas has addressed his sister’s age-gap relationship with Jesse Rutherford.

Eilish, 21, and Rutherford, 31, were confirmed as an item back in October when they were spotted sharing a kiss while on a date in Los Angeles.

Later that month, she shared a snap of them dressed up for Halloween, where they appeared to poke fun at their age gap as she wore a baby costume and he was dressed as an old man.

Eilish, who recently turned 21, has previously spoken about how happy she is with her partner - but the age gap has drawn some criticism from fans.

After a photo of them together, in costume, on Halloween was shared online, one fan wrote: "Jesse Rutherford was alive during George H W Bush's presidency. Billie Eilish cannot legally drink."

However, now her brother Finneas, 25, has shared his two cents after being questioned about it online.

A social media user commented on TikTok: “Your sister’s dating a 31-year-old man and your music is s***ty.”

Ignoring the comments about his music, he replied: “I want my sister to be happy and safe.

“She is a 21-year-old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions.”

His sentiments echo what he said back in November, when he was asked by E! News about their relationship and said: "Listen, as long as she's happy, I'm happy."

And she certainly appears to be happy - during an interview with Vanity Fair last month, she said: "It's really cool, and I'm really excited and I'm really happy about it.

"I managed to get my life to a point where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his ass! Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me.

"Thank you, Jesse Rutherford, everyone!

"I pulled his ass. All me. I did that s**t."

Opening up about their relationship, she explained that physical touch is her ‘love language’ and that’s important for her to be inspired by her partner.

She added: "I want to be able to have space and I want love and attention and equal admiration is really important.

"I am really inspired by this person and he's really inspired by me and it's really cool."
