Bebe Rexha spoke tearfully to her followers as she accused a flight security guard of a hate crime against her and preventing her from boarding her plane.

Singer Bebe Rexha - real name Bleta Rexha - has claimed the whole incident started because she spoke Albanian to a security guard.

The 34-year-old was at Munich International Airport in Germany on August 17, but she claims she was ‘banned’ from getting on her flight after an altercation with the male security guard.

Rexha posted on social media a tearful video explaining the situation.

On her Instagram Story, she said: “The supervisor for this flight on Lufthansa is threatening me."

She captioned the video: “Lufthansa, I’ve been threatened because I thought the security agent was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian asking where to get my ticket and now he’s banning me from the flight.”

Rexha also said the man attempted to abuse his power and refused to cooperate with her as she tried to resolve the situation.

In a follow up post she said: “I believe this to be a hate crime because I am Albanian.

“He would not let me take his name. He continued to mentally abuse me to make me feel like he was more powerful then [sic] he was.”

Speaking of the alleged incident, the singer also said not one of the female Lufthansa stepped in to do anything to help.

She continued: “He would not give me his name. But I just found out he works for ATSG a service company document control hired by Lufthansa.”

After the vocalist was contacted by Lufthansa, she gave another update about the whole situation.

Rexha said: “I have never been so emotionally drained. Lufthansa has direct messaged me but I urge them to do a full investigation on finding out who this man who was abusing his power is.

"An ‘I’m sorry’ is not gonna cut it this time."

Rexha’s mother also posted on her own account threatening legal action against the airline over the altercation.

A representative for Lufthansa spoke to UNILAD and addressed the ongoing situation.

They said: “We reached out to Bebe Rexha and are in direct contact with her to understand the situation. As an international airline, we connect people and countries around the globe. Our guests and employees come from all over the world.

"Diversity and equal opportunity are core values for our company and our corporate culture. We do not tolerate any discriminatory behavior of any kind.”

The representative also said that the singer was able to board the flight normally.
