Amber Heard confirms she's staying in Spain in first Spanish-speaking interview

The actor has shown off her bilingual skills after relocating to Madrid

Amber Heard has confirmed she's staying in Spain in her first-ever Spanish-speaking interview.

The Aquaman star, 37, has officially left Hollywood and relocated to the Spanish country's sunny capital alongside her daughter, Oonagh Paige.

With the highly-publicised defamation trial court case against ex Johnny Depp well and truly behind her, it's clear Heard is now looking to start a new life after putting roots down in Madrid and has opened up about it speaking in the native language for the first time ever. Check it out:

Heard has decided to 'quit Hollywood' and seemingly has no plans of returning to Los Angeles anytime soon.

According to the Daily Mail, a close friend to the actor revealed she was seeking some peace and quiet in Europe to get some refuge from the spotlight.

"She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise," the source told the outlet.

"I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project."

Since then, Heard has clearly been able to show off her bilingual abilities after giving her first interview to local press and wowing her fans by answering all the questions in fluent Spanish.

An off-screen reporter asks: "Amber, how is your new life here in Madrid?"

Smiling, the Zombieland star replied: "I love Spain so much."

She was then asked if she was planning on staying in the country, to which she responded: "Yes, I hope so."

"Yes, I love living here," she reiterated.

Starting to walk off, Heard then tells the reporter: "Well, I hope you are well," before waving a goodbye 'Ciao' to them.

"Thank you, nice to meet you," she adds.

Trying to squeeze his final few questions into the interview, the reporter asks: "Do you have a film projects?", to which Heard, without hesitation: "Oh yeah."

Lastly, the reporter asked whether Heard would be attending the Cannes Film Festival or not.

"I move on," she explained, "that's life."

While things are looking serene and peaceful out in Spain for the time being, Heard will soon be making her return to the silver screen later this year.

Contrary to many rumors, the actor has been confirmed to return as Mera in the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will premiere in cinemas 20 November.
