An ex Google employee claimed he was a 'Mia Khalifa expert' in his resume before applying to jobs - and the results were pretty shocking.

While the adult film star is among the most recognizable in the industry, it's unlikely you'd want your employer privy to you knowing everything about her.

While Khalifa resigned from the porn industry over a decade ago now, she has since embraced her celebrity status, earning millions of followers on social media and then OnlyFans.

Well, New York-based career expert Jerry Lee decided to put Khalifa's international fame - as well as employers - to the test.

The professional development company COO, who worked at Google until 2020, added some 'red flags' to his CV to see if recruiters would overlook them for his credentials at the major tech company.

Firstly, Lee changed his name to Kismma D. Nhuhts (i.e. kiss my nuts). That ought to do it...

He then listed all the kinds of stuff you'd expect from a Google employee under his 'expertise' section, such as coding, AI, and JavaScript.

Alongside them, he sneakily added in Khalifa.

Further down his resume, Lee claimed that he'd helped spread herpes to 60 percent of interns, and during his college years, he said he held the fraternity record for the most vodka shots in one night.

That's enough to deter any potential employer, right?

Apparently not...

"It's been about six weeks since we started this experiment," Lee said. "We got 29 frickin' interviews."

The outcome left Lee shocked, but he was able to glean three huge learning points when it comes to crafting a resume.

"Focus on strong bullet points, clear job titles, and the impact you've made. They're your resume's backbone. Periods and font sizes are fine details, but it's the big stuff that gets you noticed," he said.

"Big names catch eyes, but don't sweat it if you haven't worked at a 'big name' — just make sure your achievements pop with quantifiable results. It's about the skills you bring to the table, not just where you polished them.

"Lastly, KEEP. IT. SIMPLE. A clear, structured resume template is your best friend. Recruiters love them because they can spot the info they need at a glance."

While I wouldn't recommend we all start adding porn stars to our CVs, Lee's top tips are worth bearing in mind next time you're looking to perfect your resume.
