While you shouldn't heed every piece of advice you see on the internet, if you'd have listened to one man's plea in 2013, you'd be filthy rich by now.

Davinci Jeremie is the man who told everyone to buy just $1 of Bitcoin 11 years ago, and pretty much no one listened.

When Jeremie told the world to invest in crypto in a YouTube video in May 2013, the price of one Bitcoin per 1$ was $116.75.

Along with the video, which has since been viewed 5.5. million times, Jeremie wrote: "Look, for the price of [a] lotto ticket you can hold Bitcoin (BTC) for 10 years and become a millionaire. It's time you stop living in fear. If it goes to zero you lose $1, who cares!!!

"But if I'm right I want all of you to thank me, it will not make me happy if you come back to me in 10 years saying 'dude, I wish I listened to you back 2011 or 2013'."

And boy, would that $1 investment have paid off.

At its peak in 2021, one Bitcoin was worth a whopping $61,000.

And following Trump's 2024 US election win, the cryptocurrency hit a record high of almost $75,400.

Its value has dipped slightly to around $74,8001 at the time of writing on Thursday morning (November 7), as per Google Market figures.

But finance experts reckon Bitcoin could soar to heights of $90,000 in the lead-up to Trump's January 6 inauguration.

This is obviously great news for Bitcoin investors like Jeremie, although the Chile native already made his millions years ago.

Jeremie reportedly had more than 3,000 bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies as part of his portfolio, meaning today, he could be sitting on a little over $224 million.

He clearly lives a lavish life, from private jets and flash cars to beach holidays and fancy yachts.

On his Instagram, he's often tagged in destinations like Dubai and Monte Carlo, which are famously welcoming to the super-wealthy.

As well as globe-trotting, Jeremie keeps his followers informed on the latest crypto news through his swanky TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube videos.

And his incredible life today apparently all came from his savvy investment in Bitcoin.

After Trump's election win, Jeremie took to X, formerly Twitter, writing: "Let’s make #crypto great again" and "#Bitcoin about to flip silver next".

Among other controversial policies, Trump has pledged to maintain the federal government's Bitcoin (BTC) reserves, vowing to make America 'the crypto capital of the planet'.
