A future filled with cyborgs may be a little closer than you may think.

One woman has claimed that the multiple implants she has in her body gives a certain ‘sixth sense’ when it comes to technology.

Italian performer Anastasia Synn, who lives in Tehachapi, California, currently holds the Guinness World Record for most technological implants in the female body at 52 implants.

Synn is a magician, stunt performer and ‘biohacker’ and said she loves the reaction she gets from people when she displays just what her body can do.

A biohacker is defined as using technology to improve the living organisms especially by individuals and groups working outside a traditional medical or scientific research environment - like this guy who's spent $2 million on reversing his biological age.

She has said that her implants allow her to open locks, turn on computers as well as vibrate her hand and she hopes to get more.

Synn has also said she can feel live wires behind a wall and know whether or not a transformer or power box is receiving power, in a sort of ‘sixth sense’.

“I can tell you if your microwave is leaking too much radiation. My hand vibrates,” she said.

She also said her implants have allowed her to memorialize things that are important to her, most notably her late husband, who died in 2022.

Explaining what her other implants do she continued: “The chip over my heart when scanned will play our wedding.

“The one in my left wrist calls my daughter’s phone and the one in my right wrist calls my husband’s phone."

Now with every pioneering step forward, there are always drawbacks to consider, something the performer has been very aware of.

Due to the very nature of having microchips in the body, occasionally, they must be removed.

Synn has said each of the implants needs to be monitored to ensure they are functioning correctly.

She did note that microchips are a great starting point as they can be removed easily due to not being imbedded too deep beneath the skin.

“The other day I smashed my thumb in the doorway, and I was worried I smashed one of the glass implants, but it survived,” said Synn explained.

“I also had magnets in my memorial implant of ashes for my husband and they came loose so my arm was actually rattling, and I had to have it replaced.”

For others also considering the ultimate upgrade, Synn has said it is important to realize you will require surgery and will deal with needles and scalpels for each implant. She also said it is crucial to be in good health.
