XXXTentacion - real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy - was killed on 18 June, 2018 during what police have called an attempted robbery.

The American rapper was shot multiple times in the neck while outside RIVA Motorsports, in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

CCTV footage showed two masked men cornering the 20-year-old. The two men and a third are now currently standing trial for first-degree murder.

Five years after his death and the trial for the murder of XXXTentacion is finally taking place, having started yesterday (7 February).

Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome have been accused of being the two men on the CCTV footage, with Boatwright accused of pulling the trigger on the rapper. Newsome and another man named Dedrick Williams are alleged accomplices.

All three will stand trial for first-degree murder and if convicted of the charge, could all face life sentences.

Boatwright, Williams and Newsome have also all been charged with armed robbery, to which they've all pleaded not guilty.
