Woman with 9 months left to live asked husband if she could sleep with ex just one last time

A woman with only months left to live asked her other half if she could have sex with an ex one last time and it went down how you might expect.

When our final days on Earth are fast approaching, you'd like to think you've done or achieved everything in life you wanted to.

For those given a terminal illness with a diagnosis of a few months or even less, it's not unusual to make a bucket list or wish list of all the things to do before taking the last breath. This could be traveling somewhere new, trying out an extreme sport, skydiving, going on safari, and generally making cherished memories with loved ones.

However, for one woman, it was more about taking a trip down memory lane one last time - with an old fling.

Taking to Reddit, an anonymous man said it 'destroyed' him when his wife of 10 years was told she had a 'terminal disease' with nine months left to live.

"I don’t remember life without her and I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s gone," he heartbreakingly penned in the post. "I have been doing my best to make the last days of her life good and grant whatever wish I can.

"The doctors said that she was likely to need a wheelchair in four or five months, then by month eight she’ll be bedridden for the last few weeks.

"That’s if she doesn’t decline faster."

Despite the tragedy, he certainly wasn't expecting her to ask what she asked of him next - if she could 'have sex with a previous partner of hers'.

"I of course was shocked and when I asked why the f**k she wants that," the man explained to Redditors. "So basically she thinks that her most physically compatible satisfying lover was him."

Clearly, he was less than impressed by the request, saying her explanation was 'bulls***' and that she 'gave a whole monologue about how sex sometimes is just physical and how emotionally fulfilling sex is with me'.

Although hurt, the man acknowledged that he was in quite the conundrum, whether to put aside his ego and grant her the dying wish, or to refuse it to spare him the pain.

He continued of this nightmarish situation: "So now I’m left with this, deny my dying wife a wish for my own ego, or let her go f**k another man who she feels was better.

"Honestly, I’m so p***ed off and betrayed that she asked this of me.

"I feel like I’m put in a position where I have to say yes because she’s dying.

"I know what I want to say, but I don’t know if that’s right.

“I’m so hurt that sex with an ex was apparently so good that she needs to do it once before she dies.

“I just hate everything about this. I’m really not sure what to do."

Well, dozens of Redditors had their say about what they would do in that situation, with the consensus settling on slamming his wife's request as 'incredibly insulting'.

"Sorry but her illness is not an excuse to treat you like s**t," said one, while another said they would pack her stuff and send her off to live with the ex for the rest of her days.
