Venue responds after Taylor Swift fans questioned safety of baby left on the floor at Eras Tour

Venue responds after Taylor Swift fans questioned safety of baby left on the floor at Eras Tour

Paris La Défense Arena has responded after the image went viral

A venue has responded after a baby was seen on the floor during the middle of a Taylor Swift concert.

Swift had been performing at the Paris La Défense Arena in France on May 10, one of the first dates in the European leg of her Eras Tour.

But a picture sparked concern online as it showed that a young child had been kept on the floor of the venue during the busy concert.

The baby was lying on some sort of mat on the ground while wearing headphones.

Many social media users expressed serious concern that the infant was not safe, and were quick to share their worry.

The image was posted on X with the caption: "Get ur baby off the floor and GO HOME."

A follow up post showed how crowded the venue was and emphasised that it was not safe for the child to be on the floor.

The post read: "Just to paint the full picture this is general admission at the Paris show tonight… and that baby is somewhere in the floor AT THIS SHOW!

"Like WTF they have lost their minds! terrible parenting."

One user wrote: "Please don't bring babies to concerts their ears are very sensible and it could affect their hearing."

And another added: "Literally no words. Hold your damn child."

Now La Défense Arena has responded to the concern after the image went viral.

As per Page Six, a spokesperson for the venue said in a statement: “General terms and conditions of sale stipulate that all minors (without any age limit) holding a ticket for a concert at Paris La Défense arena must be accompanied by an adult.

"Under 18 children remain under their legal guardian responsibility, it’s venue policy. For spectators with a young child in the floor, an alternative seating arrangement has been proposed but refused by ticket holders.”

A woman claiming to be related to the baby's family also posted online as the controversy unfolded.

She wrote: “This is my cousin’s baby. Yes, he is fine. Yes, he had his own ticket.

"No, they aren’t usually this lacking in parenting judgment. Bad moment. Chill out, concerned Floor Baby fans.”

Paris La Défense Arena's website states: "Paris La Défense Arena doesn’t recommend bringing children under the age of four, even if accompanied, particularly due to the high volume.

"Some events may not be recommended or may be prohibited for children. In such cases, information will be specified on the event details."

UNILAD has contacted La Défense Arena for further comment.
