The Kremlin has claimed NATO is 'at war with Russia' after multiple Russian drones were shot down in Poland last week.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the airspace violations took place during an attack on Ukraine, and described the situation as a 'large-scale provocation' which required further action from his country.
"The situation is serious, and no one doubts that we must prepare for various scenarios," he said on Wednesday (September 10).
Many world leaders have taken the drones flying over Poland as a warning sign from Russia, though Vladimir Putin's nation insists that it did not have any targets in Poland.

"The strike objectives have been achieved. All designated targets were hit," Russia's Ministry of Defence told Sky News. "No targets on the territory of Poland were planned for striking."
The statement continued: "The maximum flight range of the Russian UAVs used in the strike, which allegedly crossed the border with Poland, does not exceed 700 km.
"Nevertheless, we are ready to hold consultations with the Ministry of Defence of Poland on this matter."

Now, Moscow has claimed NATO is 'fighting against Russia' due to its supposed support for Ukraine during the ongoing war.
Ukraine is not a NATO member, but does receive military aid from NATO countries such as the US and UK to fight Russia.
Dmitry Peskov, a Kremlin spokesman, told press on Monday (September 15): "Nato is de facto involved in this war. Nato is providing direct and indirect support to the Kyiv regime. It can be said with absolute certainty that Nato is fighting against Russia."
The Kremlin's latest claims come just days after Russia breached the airspace of Romania, another NATO member.

The Romanian defence ministry said two F-16 jets detected that a Russian drone breached its airspace during the early hours of Sunday (September 14) morning. However, it later disappeared from the radar.
Shortly after Russian drones were shot down over Polish airspace, NATO spokesperson Allison Hart responded to the incident on X, saying: "Numerous drones entered Polish airspace overnight and were met with Polish and NATO air defenses."
Poland had requested to invoke NATO's Article 4, which means NATO members 'will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened'.
