When her family later received texts claiming someone was trying to steal her identity, they grew concerned and reported her missing.
A search started for the aspiring photographer with Kobayashi's father Ryan Kobayashi flying from Maui, Hawaii to LA. He later passed away in what is believed to be a suicide.
Shortly after, Hannah was later found safe, the LAPD calling her disappearance 'voluntary' after she was spotted crossing the border into Mexico on foot.
And she has since spoken out in a now-deleted upload to Instagram, seemingly addressing her father's passing.

Ryan traveled to Los Angeles to join search efforts to find his daughter, explaining to CNN the pair hadn't 'had contact for a while' but he was 'just trying to make up' for it and 'get her back'.

Hannah's aunt, Larie Pidgeon, told the Mail Online Ryan 'died of a broken heart', explaining he'd been 'searching for 11 days' and was running on 'very minimal sleep' only getting about '30 minutes sleep-a-night'.
She continued: "We believe as the days continued to pass it became too much for him to bear and he took his own life. None of us saw it coming."
The RAD Movement confirmed Ryan 'tragically took his own life', with an LA County medical examiner also ruling his death as a result of suicide, People reports.
